I don’t usually go into a lot of museums or exhibits but Barcelona has a lot to offer. It also made me appreciate more of Gaudi’s work and he really was ahead of times in some of his designs. We visited Casa Battló and went into the Sagrada Família. Both require tickets and most times were already taken.
Casa Battló was by far my favorite thing. Gaudi designed the house for the Battló family and he decided to remodel instead of starting from scratch. Some of my favorite features, besides the pretty blue tile, are that he designed the windows so they were bigger near the bottom and smaller near the top. This helped allow the most light possible on all of the floors. He also put vents below the windows to help with ventilation. The roof chimneys were designed to prevent backdrafts.
Then in the evening we decided to go into the Sagrada Família. They are still working on completing the church on the outside and changing where the main entrance will go. To change the main entrance, they will need to remove some apartment buildings. The stained glass is special, especially when it is sunny.
We even went to Picasso’s museum yesterday morning but I didn’t take any pictures of his work.

That church is so stunningly beautiful !
