When I think of Barcelona, I think of Park Güell. I’m sure most people think of beaches and good food but I love my parks. I have wanted to visit this park for a long time. We took the metro to the closest stop to the park which really isn’t that close. Once you get off the metro, you still have a 20 minute walk to the park entrance.
The park was built in the early 1900’s and declared a World Heritage Site in 1984. Antoni Gaudí designed the park and he has a very unique fun style to all of his works. Gaudi’s work is seen across the city and his most famous piece is the Sagrada Família. I’m excited to visit another one of his works tomorrow.
