Today was another big walking day with nearly 13 miles. The weather was perfect and we took full advantage by walking as much as possible. After two days of walking 13 miles, the feet are ready for a little break tomorrow. We will be driving 5 hours to Lake Bled in Slovenia.

Since today was another holiday, it was challenging to find any stores that were open to get water. The best solution was to take the subway a couple of stops where I know there is a little market in the subway station that is open 7 days a week. It is hard to arrive in Austria late on a Saturday night because many stores aren’t open on Sundays and then it was also a holiday weekend.

It is always nice to get up early in a big city and walk around before most people aren’t awake. Since it was a holiday, it made it that much better. We walked around the first district some and then headed out to Schönbrunn where I will never get tired walking around. After all the walking, we helped ourselves to a large dinner of Wiener Schnitzel and potato salad. Of course, I then made us walk after dinner because I was so full.
